ABOUT ME

All children are born artists, the problem is to remain an artist as we grow up.” - Pablo Picasso.

I’ve always expressed myself through art, ever since I was a little kid growing up in the cookie-cutter framework of small town Kanpur. My childhood home was a riot of colour and artistic self-expression and the walls were inundated with my drawings and paintings, pen and paint all mixed together, all through the years I grew up there. My life and experiences from school in Kanpur to college in Delhi, from studying in London to interning at Gensler, Chicago, have all influenced my artistic style. My varied interests – travel, music, theatre, architecture, even food! – define my muses till this day, and my fingers allow me to express the innate curiosity with which I approach the world around me.

I always had an eye for spaces and for compositions, and so, after obtaining my hard-won architecture degree from the School of Planning and Architecture, New Delhi, I went on to work in all the fields of artistic creativity that inspired me: architecture, interiors, graphic design and digital media.

But I always returned to my first love: art.

Art is an interesting contradiction – fluid, yet permanent. Capable of holding multitudes of meaning within a single stroke. And so incredibly personal and this is why I want to invite you on a journey with me, a journey of discovery, reinvention and self-expression.

My art is as multifaceted as the people who consume it, existing as a riotous mix of pop colour, pen and ink work, a marriage of physical and digital art; in a variety of forms. I firmly believe in art in every possible form, shape, space and function. I would love for you to peel back the layers and delve into the mind of this eccentric pop artist; and to that end, I’d like you to check out my portfolio – it does a better job of representing who I am than my words do!
